3 PhD student positions available for Bioinformaticians to develop their thesis within the EU Initial Training Network FP7-PEOPLE-2013-ITN CardioNext, a highly multidisciplinary, intersectoral and competitive training programme in cardiovascular research.

Applicants must have a Master Degree in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Biology, or related disciplines, and must be familiar with programming scripting languages (Perl, R, Python) and statistical packages. Good English communication skills are mandatory. Research experience will also be valued.

Candidates must be in the first four years (full-time equivalent) of their research careers and have not yet been awarded a doctoral degree. In addition, must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies) in Spain for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the recruitment date.
